Soil Triaxial Testing for DRDO

Soil-testing-DRDO

Project Overview

At Bhargava Building Atelier Pvt. Ltd. (BBAPL), we recently carried out Soil Triaxial Testing for the Defence Research and Development Organisation as part of the geotechnical investigation for their proposed infrastructure development.

The objective of the testing was to assess the engineering properties and strength characteristics of the soil under controlled pressure conditions. These results support safe foundation design and provide critical data for evaluating load-bearing performance, settlement behavior, and long-term structural stability.

The testing was conducted in accordance with standard geotechnical testing procedures to deliver accurate, reliable, and construction-ready recommendations.

Project Information

  • Client: Defence Research and Development Organisation
  • Service: Soil Triaxial Testing
  • Sector: Defence & Infrastructure
  • Project Type: Geotechnical Investigation & Soil Testing
  • Status: Successfully Completed

Scope of Work

  • Soil sample collection and laboratory preparation
  • Soil Triaxial Testing under controlled stress conditions
  • Evaluation of shear strength parameters
  • Analysis of soil behavior under pressure and load
  • Determination of stress-strain relationship
  • Preparation of geotechnical observations and technical reporting
  • Submission of test results for structural and foundation design reference

Project Components

1. Soil Investigation & Sample Preparation

Collected representative soil samples from the project site and prepared them under controlled laboratory conditions for triaxial testing.

Ensured sample quality and handling procedures aligned with standard geotechnical testing protocols.

2. Soil Triaxial Testing

Performed triaxial testing to evaluate the mechanical behavior of soil under simulated field loading conditions.

Testing included analysis of:

  • Shear strength
  • Cohesion
  • Angle of internal friction
  • Stress-strain response
  • Failure characteristics under confinement

This data provides essential input for structural and geotechnical design decisions.

3. Engineering Analysis & Reporting

Analyzed test results to assess soil performance for proposed foundation and infrastructure loading.

Prepared detailed technical documentation including observations, findings, and recommendations for design teams and project stakeholders.
